Enambithi’s humble beginnings started as a logistics company, hitting the ground running in 2006. A 10cm3 tipper truck was acquired to jumpstart the company. At that time Enambithi subcontracted for Much Asphalt, a subsidiary division of Murray and Roberts. During these early stages we were transporting premix tar to various contractors, paving the roads and highways in around the Gauteng region.
Business grew and 2 years later, we had established a small fleet of 4 trucks. Enambithi decided to expand its footprint, still within logistics, but reach out to the refrigeration and container haulage sector, including the likes of Woolworths and Spar groups, to name a few. Within the same year, we acquired an additional 2 horse and trailers, and placed them in the container depot division, subcontracting to the Bid Freight group based in City Deep. Our fleet number then rose to 8 trucks.
The company decided to expand into the commodities field, becoming a distributor for Indy Oil and a supplier of steel branching off into KZN on the east coast. All oil products were aimed at the industrial sector, namely parastatals, the likes of Transnet, Engineering, Marine and Rail sectors and small engineering firms.
Our steel supply was aimed at the Construction, Engineering and Renewable Energy sectors. Clients consist of the likes of Enza Construction, Transnet Engineering, Concor and Genrec Engineering.
